"Every Man Wants Heaven But No Man Wanna Die"
-Novel
Well, I never heard of this guy outside of the song "To Find A Hero" by Colin Munroe, but I like this line from his verse. Not that it's so lyrically amazing, but that it's so real. We all seek perfection, paradise, eternal happiness, etc., but none of us can ever have this until we leave this world behind. Even then, we only assume that this place of wonder exists because others (who've also never been there) tell us it's out there somewhere. Assuming Heaven, Nirvana, whatever you choose to call it, exists, we already know that we can never reach it until we reach the end of our lives, which most people do not look forward to meeting. I appreciate that he managed to squeeze that entire idea into like nine words. That's what you call poetry.
*sidenote: I'm working on poems now.. but I'm having a hard time because life is so dull right now. No highs or lows lately. Just.. life. UGH! I need to be inspired!
